Samantha Moore started a little over a year ago with us and is still showing amazing progress. I remember when she came to me saying she cannot do many push ups because it would hurt her wrists. This was due to a mountain biking accident. Working on her front squat and cleans developed a higher degree of wrist flexibility and strength. Now she is doing push ups till the cows come home and seems to have endless stamina!
Samantha loves to run and bike. Her main sport is mountain biking and she uses CrossFit to train for the toughest trails. She exclaims how CrossFit helps her climb mountains like a goat and run long distances without any knee issues. We worked on her running form while strengthening her posture via basic movements. As for her climbing mountains on a mountain bike- we find out that the functional carryover from kipping pull ups works when you pull on the handlebar while grinding down on the pedal is similar to the pull and hip extension on the pull up! You have come a long way Sam- keep at it!
