Maria's right arm was so sore, she was stuck in this flexed thumbs up position. It could have been worse. Her right arm was so sore after pull ups. Good thing she stopped doing bicep curls at globo-gyms!
Johannes and Joe had fun with beer and barbells at CrossFit Oakland. Johannes visits us from Cologne, Germany.
"It's my very first visit in the United States, and although I just spent a few days with the CrossFit Silicon Valley Team I already feel like a part of it. They welcomed me so warmly and friendly, and the workouts we do just kick ass. My time at CrossFit Silicon Valley will remain as an unforgettable experience. Thanks to Judd, Joe, Matt and the whole team. Awesome!!!"

Out of the 20+ teams that participated, we fared quite well. Only 41 Seconds separate us from top rank! Truly every second counts. A big thank you to CrossFit Oakland for hosting such a grand sporting event. We look forward to more "Sport of Fitness" events as the year progresses. Events like these help bring the best out of each who participates. The thrill of competition, and the pressure to perform our best builds tremendous mental fortitude. We learn more about ourselves and how to better handle stress. CrossFit Silicon Valley can only get better and better as we grow together and suffer through the WODs together.
We will continue to practice and train hard to raise our game, lessen the chances of injury and to perform our very best not only with CrossFit but with the rigors of life.

Live on top of the FIT chain. CrossFit Silicon Valley coaches unite to transform your physical existence. Impassioned, we survive on the top of our game utilizing the CrossFit Method. Whether it is grappling, fire fighting or gardening- we strive to improve your performance to elite levels.
"Fitness in 100 Words"-
Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and NO sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat.
Practice and train major lifts: deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics:pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstands, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast.
Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. ROUTINE IS THE ENEMY. Keep workouts short and intense.
Regularly learn and play new sports!
